Hello There!
Hello there! I am Amy Mosgrove, a lifelong creative based in Colorado, where I was born and raised. My creative journey has wandered through wood burning, jewelry making, crochet, quilling, and years of doodling—each path leading me toward my distinctive whimsy modern folk art illustration style.
My work embodies joyful, colorful illustrations rich with storytelling, often centered around a single motif or character and layered with intricate details. Inspired by nature and botanicals, music lyrics, and fantasy literature, I create imaginary worlds filled with vibrant color, bold patterns, and textured surfaces. Strong line work paired with playful flourishes gives my illustrations a whimsical, slightly magical quality.
I hold a B.S. in Fashion Design and Merchandising and previously worked as a textile buyer for a model home interior design firm. Today, alongside illustration, I’m also a wedding and event florist—a role that fuels my love of drawing flowers and botanical forms. Whether I’m working digitally in Procreate or creating analog illustrations with markers and gel pens, I find calm and serenity in the creative process.
When I’m not sketching, you’ll likely find me hiking or skiing in the Rocky Mountains, reading, enjoying live music, or sharing good food and music-filled gatherings with family and friends.
